Welcome. We are Kimberly and Joon, a multi-cultural couple living in coastal South Carolina. I am originally from northeast Ohio, and I met Joon in Seoul, South Korea while I was teaching English abroad. We got married in 2012 and moved to the USA in 2014. We were blessed with our beautiful daughter in 2017.
When the pandemic hit, it changed our habits with food. Instead of eating frozen or cafeteria food at work, we started to cook meals at home from scratch with accessible ingredients. Over time, we became better chefs while using local influences, Korean, and other Asian-inspired elements in our dishes. We learned that simple delicious dishes, crafted with readily available ingredients, are the heart and soul (or “Seoul”) of home cooking.
Our Mission
We have a unique spin on food because of our backgrounds and where we live now. Expect some traditional Korean recipes but also Korean fusion, and other Asian-inspired dishes. We want you to be able to cook simple and delicious dishes that you can mostly buy at your local grocery store. Amazon is our other source since we do not live near a Korean grocery store. Joon is our head chef and Korean cooking expert, and I am here as your guide and part-time sous chef. Come along for the journey.
